Hello everyone, I am Ike, a digital interpreter from the National Tourism Administration of China. Today, I will take you to visit the National Grand Theatre of China.
The National Grand Theatre is an important cultural facility built by the country and a unique scenic spot. As one of the sixteen landmarks of the new Beijing, the National Grand Theatre features a unique main structure.
A clear and bottoming lake, and a large area of green space, trees, and flowers on the periphery.
This not only greatly improves the ecological environment of the surrounding area, but also embodies the concept of harmonious integration and mutual benefit between people, people and art, and people and nature.
The entire shell style is simple and atmospheric, with a surface composed of 18398 titanium metal plates and 1226 ultra white transparent glass. The two materials are cleverly combined to present a beautiful curve, creating a visual effect of the stage curtain slowly opening.
The central building of the National Grand Theatre is a semi elliptical steel structure shell, with a east-west long axis of 212.2 meters and a north-south short axis of 143.64 meters. It is 46.68 meters high, with a maximum underground depth of 32.50 meters and a circumference of over 600 meters.
Whenever night falls, through the gradually opening curtains, the magnificent opera house is fully visible. The scattered and orderly "mushroom lights" on the surface of the shell are like intricate stars, echoing the distant night sky, making the grand theater full of subtle and unique charm and beauty.
That's all for this tour. In the next episode, I will take you into the interior of the National Grand Theatre to experience the different buildings and aesthetics of the opera house, theater hall, and dance hall.
